What is a Portable Power Station?

In short, portable power stations provide off-grid electricity using a rechargeable battery. They’re similar to power banks but have a larger capacity, higher output power, and AC (wall) outlets so they can power anything from phones to home appliances. Lighter models can be taken camping and bigger models can serve as home backup power during outages.

A portable power station is like a laptop or cell phone battery, only bigger and more powerful. They store energy in a rechargeable battery that can be used to power electronic devices at – or away – from home. Orife power stations keep portable energy simple by combining a lithium battery pack, a pure sine wave inverter (to convert DC power to AC power), and numerous charging ports and outlets into a compact, all-in-one design. A portable power station can be charged from a variety of sources, including a wall outlet, car adapter, or solar panels. When combined with solar panels, the energy source becomes renewable and these battery plus solar panel bundles are called solar generators.
